FAQs about fundraising

  • The Global Doula Project will set up a campaign fundraising page for qualifying doula organizations. The Global Doula Project grant fund will match every dollar donated, up to 1000 USD.

  • Nonprofit organizations, for-profit organizations, associations, and doulas in private practice are all eligible to apply for a doula grant. Organizations and individuals must have a business bank account.

  • The doula grant is to be used so that more people have access to doula support. The funds must be used in order to provide services for free or at a discount.

  • We do ask that the recipients of the funds provide a written update outlining how the funds were spent.

  • The board of directors has a difficult job because there are many qualified doula organizations in the world and funds are limited. Priority will be given to organizations who can make the most impact with the funds and have a clear plan on how they will reach and support families.

  • A large portion of The Global Doula Project funding in 2023 has been provided by the Rice Family Fund. A small part is funded by public donations. Please encourage friends and family to make a donation so that we can continue to offer funding! Donations are tax-deductible.

  • Yes! Please make sure you have submitted an update on how the previous funds were spent. Write to info@globaldoulaproject.org with your update if you haven’t already.
